PRIXmas Session

The Christmas session for young talents of all ages

You can sing? Dance? Tell stories? Do you love comedy? Or master a musical instrument?

Then there is another chance to perform in front of an expert audience just before Christmas:

In the session named after the museum's founder, up-and-coming artists have the chance to perform alone or together with established stars of the scene for a few minutes under the critical, albeit friendly eyes of our audience.

Instrumental music - singing - comedy - dance - or storyteller - or whatever ... :-)

A Christmas reference is gladly possible, but not mandatory!

SURFING CHRISTMAS - BEACH BAND

Friday 15 Dec 2023 20:00

Surfing Christmas

The Christmas Show of the Beach Band

The very first Surfing Christmas of the Beach Band took place in 2001 at the Casineum Velden. In the meantime, this annual event of the EBOARDMUSEUM has become cult and an indispensable must-attend event for philanthropists and music lovers.

As every year, the Beach Band (THOMAS GOSCHAT, HARRY HOLLER, ROLF HOLUB, GERT PRIX) could count on the cooperation of great colleagues to enchant friends and fans with a pre-Christmas atmosphere.

A cult-like evening in the largest living room in Austria.

As every year, all proceeds were donated to people in need.

Saturday 09 Dec 2023 20:00

LET IT BEAT

BEST OF BEATLES

DOUBLE CONCERT PART 1

The pre-Christmas season is Beatles time. Year after year, December sees the release of previously unreleased material by what is still probably the most famous pop band of all time. And because the selection of excellent songs is so huge, there is again this year a double concert with two different programs.

And a world premiere: the TOTAL SGT. PEPPER ALBUM LIVE for the first time - not even the Beatles ever managed that!

Let It Beat has always done without wigs, but not without the authentic sound of the Beatles. And for that, this fantastic band needs this basic equipment of just such musicians. In alphabetical order:

DANIEL AMANN
HERBERT BRANDSTÄTTER
ROMAN FLAMMERSFELD
EGBERT GÖTZINGER
TONY HAAS
ROLF HOLUB
EDGAR LUTZ
GERNOT PANSI
ALENKA PIOTROWICZ
GERT PRIX
HANS PETER STEINER

And on top of that some surprise guests...

Yeah Yeah Yeah   :-)

DON AIREY (DEEP PURPLE)

Saturday 25 Nov 2023 20:00

DON AIREY (DEEP PURPLE) & VOODOO STRAT

The star of Deep Purple live and close up

Another world star gives a concert in the EBOARDMUSEUM!

With Smoke On The Water as the ultimate rock anthem, DEEP PURPLE have created a monument. In the course of their meanwhile 55-year career DEEP PURPLE had quite a few line-up changes, but there were only two, but most brilliant organists who shaped this unique sound in all those decades.

Jon Lord passed away in 2012, his worthy legacy is now in the hands of DON AIREY. His incredible skills have been relied upon by giants such as Gary Moore, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osborne, Whitesnake, Jethro Tull, musical star Andrew Lloyd Webber, Judas Priest and Brian May of Queen, among many others.

Now, for this one evening, Don is swapping the usual huge concert halls and stadiums to give his fans an up-close look at his virtuoso fingers in the tranquil ambience of the EBOARDMUSEUM!

With him - already well known to regular guests of the EBOARDMUSEUM - the fantastic band VOODOO STRAT from Italy:

PAOLO MORETTO | guitar
PIERO PATTAY l vocals
JIMI ZANELLI | bass
GIANNI MORETTO
| drums

BLOODY HAMMOND

Nobody can accuse us of the fact that even world stars don't go all out at our concerts, and even draw blood if need be.

Our Hammond B 3, after the concert of DON AIREY (Deep Purple) and VOODOO STRAT   :-)

ULLI BÄER, MATTHIAS KEMPF UND ANDY BAUM

Friday 24 Nov 2023 20:00

Ulli Bäer, Matthias Kempf & Andy Baum

An Evening For Three

The three Austropopers ULLI BÄER, MATTHIAS KEMPF and ANDY BAUM have known and appreciated each other for years. Since 2019 they have been playing concerts together.

Originally only a few "evenings as a threesome" were planned, now the trio is entering their fifth year together. The mutual curiosity and joy for always new interpretations and the joint discovery of not so well-known works are too great. Thus, no two evenings are alike. And that is good!

In the musical luggage: own songs or borrowed songs, arranged for three guitars and three distinctive voices.

Andy Baum's Slow Down and Don't Make A Fool are on the program as well as new songs in dialect. Ulli Bäer of course has his hits Der Durscht or Alle Lichter, among others, and Matthias Kempf plays both his quiet and funny upbeat songs.

Garnished with delightful anecdotes, this evening was a wonderful opportunity for fans of handmade music to listen, enjoy and laugh!

JAM TRAX

Friday 17 Nov 2023 20:00

Jam Trax

Trouble

The power blues band JAM TRAX was founded in 1999 and has released four albums since then. At live concerts and music festivals at home and abroad, the band thrills audiences mainly with its own compositions, but also with new adaptations of old blues classics such as Rollin' and Tumblin, I'm a King Bee or Hoochie Coochie Man.

Due to their talent for authentic performances, the four-piece band was chosen by a jury of experts and the audience as the winner of the Bruck Blues Challenge 2016.

The band's current album is called TROUBLE, which received a very positive review in the English music magazine BLUES & RHYTHM and in the German trade magazine BLUES-NEWS.

Diamond

Pop History: A Tribute To Neil Diamond

Neil Diamond not only wrote world hits for world stars from Barbra Streisand to the Monkees. He also occupies international top positions in the charts himself again and again. And that for decades!

Reason enough for the team of the EBOARDMUSEUM to put together a band in his honor, which compresses this gigantic life's work into a fantastic two hours.

None of his world hits may be missing - I'm a Believer - Song Sung Blue - I Am I Said - Beautiful Noise - Love on the Rocks and of course not the party classic Sweet Caroline.

TOBACCO ROAD BLUES BAND

Saturday 21 Oct 2023 20:00

TOBACCO ROAD BLUES BAND

IV (CD PRESENTATION)

TRBB has been around since 2013. The musicians around founding members Mike Diwald and Peter Prammerdorfer started out as a typical blues cover band.

At some point, the bluesmen simply weren't satisfied with just replaying the blues hits of Clapton, King, Johnson and Co. and so, without further ado, they wrote their own songs. The first CD with exclusively self-composed material was released in 2017. Silver disc number 2 followed in 2018.

DVD and CD#3. The following year a live DVD called Live at the Museum was released and at the same time new material continued to be worked on. The pandemic, of course, put a damper on the Tobaccos' live activities like all other artists, but this did not dampen their creativity. The band has an international network of renowned musicians and so during the lockdown with Papa Legba an album was created with the participation of numerous musicians not only from Austria, but also Italy, Germany and the USA. This CD was presented in July 2021.

Concert activities are picking up again. Despite all the fun of working in the studio, the TRBB is first and foremost a live band that is happy that concert activities are finally starting up again after the pandemic-related break. Especially gigs in neighboring countries were a rarity in the last year and a half, which is about to change again.

In the fall of 2023, the band will release CD number 4, which they will present at the EBOARDMUSEUM on October 21. Title: IV.

DR. SÜDBAHN & DIE SYMPARTIE

Friday 20 Oct 2023 20:00

Dr. Südbahn & the Symparthie

Doktor Südbahn plays Ostbahn

Doktor SüdBahn & the SymPartie tell in musical form the story of Ostbahn Kurti, later Dr. Kurt Ostbahn - from the creation in 1984 to the great "Kaiserwiesen concerts" in Vienna, the last of which took place in 2019. This program is a bow to a great musician, a great person and his unforgettable hits - Willi Resetarits.

Very close to the original and packed in the typical rocking Favorit'n Blues, Doktor SüdBahn & the SymPartie offer a successful mix of all-familiar "rags" to sing along with and entertaining stories from and about the cult and artificial figure Kurt Ostbahn.

A concert to sing along, clap along, dance along, remember, laugh and revive - which lifts you out of your chairs from the first second on.

Definitely a strong signal that "OSTBAHN lives"!

BORIS BUKOWSKI

Friday 13 Oct 2023 20:00

Boris Bukowski

BUKOWSKI PRIVATELY - PART 2

For those who were unable to attend part 1 at the EBOARDMUSEUM in 2022: Boris Bukowski privately is a firework of the funniest anecdotes from a bulging musical life with colleagues such as Konstantin Wecker, EAV, Wilfried, Falco and many others, as well as private soap and horse operas, and makes many a cabaret program look pale.

And in between, to relieve the abdominal muscles, a "Best Of" of the evergreen milestones like Fritze mit der Spritze, Kokain and many more.

Boris and his guitarist JAXX are now at their best when it comes to the fun of the evening and the funniest tosses, and the audience has rewarded it in the best possible way: with full houses and standing ovations.

Saturday 30 Sept 2023 20:00

UDO Tribute Band

Hits, rarities and classics of the great Udo Jürgens

Double concert, part 1 and 2

UDO JÜRGENS was an Austrian composer and singer of popular music whose career spanned over fifty years. He won the Eurovision Song Contest 1966 for Austria, composed close to 1,000 songs, and sold over 100 million records.

One night is by far not long enough to present all of his greatest hits. The fact that it takes two nights to present shows how amazing the great singers' repertoire was. The eightheaded UDO TRIBUTE BAND and their special guests presented UDO-Hits from the very beginning to his most recent masterpieces.

THE ANIMALS

Saturday 09 Sept 2023 20:00

Animals And Friends

House Of The Raising Sun

In 1964 a wave of new energetic rock and roll swept over the youth of the world. On the crest of this wave was The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and of course THE ANIMALS. From the banks of the River Tyne came the North East's offering; a brand of rhythm n blues that the whole world seemed to grasp greedily.

Bruce Springsteen recently revealed on stage in the USA that it was THE ANIMALS, not The Beatles or The Stones who were his favourite British Invasion band. "Their singles were the first full-blown class-consciousness I'd ever heard". After playing a short burst of 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place', Springsteen then confessed: "That's every song I've ever written. 'Born To Run', 'Born In The USA', all of them".

2020's John Steel and the band are back on the road.

Animals & Friends remain a seminal rhythm & blues band who still command great respect internationally amongst their peers as well as from fans of all ages who instinctively respond so enthusiastically to such pivotal songs from THE ANIMALS' catalogue such as We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Boom Boom, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, Baby, Let Me Take You Home, I Put A Spell On You and the bands' multi-million selling anthem and Number One hit across the world - House of The Rising Sun.

Best of Hammond with "Hardware"

Just in time for the 50th anniversary of the death of the ingenious inventor Laurens Hammond (110 patents, among them his world success Hammond organ) the international elite of Hammond experts met in Klagenfurt for a workshop, exchange of information and of course Hammond-heavy live music!

And the host and his band HARDWARE took care of that, with the greatest hits around Hammond-affine legends like Deep Purple, Procol Harum, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Uriah Heep, Nice, Manfred Mann's Earthband and and and... HARDWARE   :-)

RAPHAEL WRESSNIG

Friday 02 June 2023 20:00

Raphael Wressnig & Soul Gift Band

SOUL, FUNK, JAZZ, BLUES AND HAMMOND B-3

Raphael Wressnig is not your ordinary B-3 organ player. He confidently brings out the inherent pyrotechnic power and mightiness of the large B-3 console and he is proud of his central role in performing what he calls “organ-heavy soul & funk”. The majestic instrument, the Hammond organ, replaces the singer and plays the leads while its bass register locks in with the drums and carries the band. Wressnig concocts exciting mixed-genre music from his fervid imagination. His fluency in soul, funk, jazz and blues has garnered him the attention of an international claque of critics and multiple nominations, over the past decade, for both the DownBeat Critics and Readers Polls as “Best Organ Player of the Year”.

From New Orleans-style funk to soul and rhythm & blues, Wressnig’s percussive and greasy Hammond sounds conjure dynamic, high-voltage music. Old-school and new-school rendezvous in his style and his sound combines an authentic soul & blues vibe and a “lowdown” feel with a contemporary funk edge for a unique listening experience. Together with his co-conspirators - The Soul Gift Band - he shows the bright potential of soul, blues and funk in a modern world and will give the audience a new way to experience these old genres.

Raw and hard-hitting, the nucleus of the band features the skills of celebrated guitarist ENRICO CRIVELLARO and drummer ERIC CISBANI, with the frequent addition of a horn section and vocalists.

JOE COCKER COVER BAND

Joe Cocker Cover Band

WOODSTOCK AT THE EBOARDMUSEUM

The world career of Joe Cocker began as quite a no-name in the field of Max Yasgur in the small American town of Bethel, a good 70 km from the originally planned Woodstock.

With A Little Help From My Friends - Unchain My Heart - N'oubliez Jamais - The Letter Up Where We Belong - You Can Leave Your Hat On - You Are So Beautiful - just a small excerpt from the setlist of Joe Cocker, who also repeatedly honored Carinthia himself.

Since his sudden death in December 2014, his fans have depended on tributes that continue to keep this great oeuvre alive. And with the Joe Cocker Cover Band, the EBOARDMUSEUM has engaged the best of the best in this field!

Close your eyes - the illusion is perfect - you are standing in the middle of a hundred thousand natural hippies and listening to one of the most charismatic singers together with his band worldwide!

Open your eyes - and you are sitting in the cozy living room landscapes of the EBOARDMUSEUM... :-)

BEST OF MOVIE - FIFTIES - SIXTIES - SEVENTIES

Leave the theater and get immersed in the live spectacle! When Ennio Morricone’s Oscar-winning title music from The Hateful Eight is heard and five dusky figures make their way through the audience, the following two hours are dedicated to cult director Quentin Tarantino.

As soon as the band enters the stage, the audience enters Tarantino's parallel universe and experiences many a surprise. We see Mr. Blonde being dragged onto the stage gagged, or Mr. Pink rushing through the crowd in a frenzy. Mr. Orange gets his ear cut off, while Mr. Brown gets a bullet in the heart! And we trembled before Mr. White swinging his baseball bat.

From Surfrock to Disco, from Pulp Fiction to Once Upon A Time in Hollywood - this show is a true experience, not only for Tarantino fans.

Beach Band

Sea For Your Ears

Sandy beach, surfboards, sun-tanned dreamy bodies, cool drinks and absolutely casual hits with harmonic vocals in perfection...

This almost unbearably beautiful cliché caused the foundation of the BEACH BAND in 2000.

Since then, the grandiose sound of the BEACH BOYS, together with their complex harmonic vocals, has been providing that little bit of "sea in your ears". An unsurpassed mix of Beach Boys, Flower Power, Popsicles and hits with style. And an unforgettable evening full of good vibrations...

And they'll surely get it right with the sun-tanned dreamy bodies!

GERD SCHULLER

GERD SCHULLER & BAND

Swinging The Beat

Gerd Schuller does not always want to be reminded of his great TV successes. We respect that, of course, and do not mention here that he is responsible for the legendary soundtracks to Kommissar Rex or Schlosshotel Orth, among others. :- )

And Gert understands Gerd only too well: He with the soft "d" belongs to the absolute elite of European musicians, who elicit the absolute optimum from legendary keyboard instruments with unbelievable intuition.

His current project sounds extremely exciting:
Swinging The Beat - Beatles songs in classic-jazzy arrangements.

Well, and in his quality class you can kind of choose your fellow musicians. In ORTHographic corREXt order:

MANFRED JOSEL (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra) | Drums
KLAUS MELEM (Graz Philharmonic Orchestra) | Bass
GERD SCHULLER (Legend) | Keys

CJUW

Blues & Rock & Jazz & Country

"It's the song, not the singer!"

That's the best way to describe CJUW's philosophy. The quartet from the Pinzgau in Salzburg combines in its English-language original compositions classical songwriting with influences from blues, rock, jazz to country. Thereby dynamically arranged songs, which manage to surprise the listener again and again - and still surprise the listener over and over again - and still exude a musical character that is which is commonly referred to in English as "listenable".
Many of CJUW's songs are characterized by catchy, timeless melodies, to which one can only difficult to escape after the first hearing. Probably also because the songs about great emotional cinema - love, relationships, friendship or even the world itself. or even about the world itself. Exactly the right terrain for the two singers Cornelius Hofer-Bräuer and Wolfgang Schwarzbach, who know how to send out musical messages in such a way, that they get under the listener's skin.

All great classics of this band of superlatives, including great hits also from their environment and their prehistory!!!

Of course, the hardware used by Hardware is also exactly on point: real Moog synthesizers, a Hammond C 3 and Hammond L 100 each, as Keith Emerson also played so furiously, Clavinet, an opulent guitar set, bass 7 strings and and and...

CHLX

CHRISTIAN "CHL" LEHNER CELEBRATED HIS SIXTIETH BIRTHDAY WITH FRIENDS AND COMPANIONS

CHLX - a motto abbreviation that has it all: on the one hand CHL=60, because the Roman numerals LX mean 60, on the other hand CHLX stands for 23 years of Austropop project CHL and furthermore for CHL in X formations.
[Copyright for CHLX : Gert Prix, mathematician and musician]

With date February 11, 2023 the author, journalist and musician Christian "CHL" Lehner reached his sixtieth birthday. Actually nothing special, except one makes it so. Instead of a birthday party, CHL celebrated his round birthday on February 11, 2023 on stage at the EBOARDMUSEUM in Klagenfurt.

And celebrating with him were longtime friends and companions:

The Klagenfurt singer FREYA WIPPICH, MANFRED KANDUTH, the Ambros Tribute Band WOLFGANG A, musical companions such as NORBERT EIPELTAUER, GERHARD "MAUZE" MARIN, "DIE UNVOLLENDETEN" MANFRED PLESSL and MARTIN SADOUNIK, singer-songwriter THOMAS GOSCHAT, singer-songwriter RAMON MILES, singer DOMENICO PLIESCHNEGGER, crime writer ROLAND ZINGERLE, BRUNO UNTERBERGER as well as CHL's former second band DE KEIFFM.

The band performed Austro Pop classics and rarities, rock classics with their own dialect lyrics, as well as their own song creations.

Wolfgang A.

A Tribute To Wolfgang Ambros

The all-star band WOLFGANG A pays reverence to probably the greatest Austro Pop legend and brings an absolutely representative cross-section of about 100 classics between Zentralfriedhof, a Hofa and beautiful ballads like Langsam wochs ma z'amm!

A respectful tribute to the Austrian soundtrack of several generations!
