PRIXMAS SESSION - HEINZ GATEJ

Friday 23 Dec 2022 20:00

PRIXmas Session

The Christmas session for young talents of all ages

You can sing? Dance? Tell stories? Do you love comedy? Or master a musical instrument?

Then there is another chance to perform in front of an expert audience just before Christmas:

In the session named after the museum's founder, up-and-coming artists have the chance to perform alone or together with established stars of the scene for a few minutes under the critical, albeit friendly eyes of our audience.

Instrumental music - singing - comedy - dance - or storyteller - or whatever ... :-)

A Christmas reference is gladly possible, but not mandatory!

SURFING CHRISTMAS - BEACH BAND

Friday 16 Dec 2022 20:00

Surfing Christmas

THE CHRISTMAS SHOW OF THE BEACH BAND

The very first Surfing Christmas of the Beach Band took place in 2001 at the Casineum Velden. In the meantime, this annual event of the EBOARDMUSEUM has become cult and an indispensable must-attend event for philanthropists and music lovers.

As every year, the Beach Band (THOMAS GOSCHAT, HARRY HOLLER, ROLF HOLUB, GERT PRIX) could count on the cooperation of great colleagues to enchant friends and fans with a pre-Christmas atmosphere.

A cultivated evening in the largest living room in Austria was guaranteed.

This year the proceeds were donated to the animal shelter "Garten Eden".

LET IT BEAT

BEST OF BEATLES PART 1 & 2

DOUBLE CONCERT

The pre-Christmas season is Beatles time. Year after year, December sees the release of previously unreleased material by what is still probably the most famous pop band of all time. And because the selection of excellent songs is so huge, this year for the first time there was a double concert with two different programs.

The setlists also included many hits that the Beatles themselves were never able to perform live, as well as real gems from the solo careers of George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr!

Wigs were dispensed with on Let It Beat, but not the authentic sound of the Beatles!

And for that, this fantastic band needs this basic equipment of just such musicians.

In alphabetical order:

DANIEL AMANN
HERBERT BRANDSTÄTTER
ROMAN FLAMMERSFELD
EGBERT GÖTZINGER
TONY HAAS
ROLF HOLUB
EDGAR LUTZ
GERNOT PANSI
ALENKA PIOTROWICZ

GERT PRIX
HANS PETER STEINER

And furthermore some surprise guests...

YET ANOTHER FLOYD

Friday 25 Nov 2022 20:00

Pop History - Best Of Pink Floyd

YET ANOTHER FLOYD is THE Austrian PINK FLOYD tribute band. The elaborate show with ten musicians from Upper Austria claims to be a performance true to the original.

"A large part of the band has already successfully played shows with the music of PINK FLOYD 25 years ago," says singer and band leader Reinhard "Fussy" Petershofer. Great importance is attached to the original sound. Months of tinkering were done to perform  live e.g. the guitar sound of David Gilmour as perfect as possible.

A time travel through more than 40 years of PINK FLOYD history will be presented. In addition to rarities, the very big hits like Another Brick In The Wall, Time or Wish You Were Here are of course on the setlist. With their music, the sounds and the visual design of their records and stage performances, PINK FLOYD created an unmistakable and, at the time, completely new style that shaped the listening habits of generations in rock and pop music and thus set standards.

YET ANOTHER FLOYD offers the audience a concert evening with distinctive, sophisticated and spherical rock music, played live and packed into a stage show with bombastic sound.

TONČ FEINIG & BAND

TONČ FEINIG & BAND

FEATURING EDGAR UNTERKIRCHNER

The musician, composer and producer Anton Tonč Feinig, born in 1971 in Klagenfurt, combines a wide variety of styles, genres, regions and people in his music. As an artist from the bilingual region of Carinthia, he is committed to a lively cultural exchange in the Alps-Adriatic region, overcoming traditional boundaries and building bridges in a variety of ways. Through his creative approach to the divisiveness and fault lines in his regional environment, Feinig aims to explore and strengthen ways to promote togetherness.

On a musical level, Feinig transcends all genre boundaries and does not allow himself to be pinned down to a particular musical style. His many years as a pianist have been strongly influenced by the jazz tradition. He sees his jazz studies in Klagenfurt and later in The Hague as the key to his real purpose; namely, to make music that comes from the heart through the greatest possible understanding of music.

Feinig always enters into exciting personal ties in his artistic realization and combines regional, linguistic and cultural characteristics in his repertoire. Worth mentioning in this context is his collaboration with renowned artists from the Slovenian region such as Vlado Kreslin and Robert Jukič. Robert Jukič is also a band member of the Tonč Feinig Trio and can be heard on the CD Tonč Feinig Trio 2 (2016). After the first album of the Tonč Feinig Trio Live at the Jazzclub Kammerlichtspiele, released in 2012, the Klagenfurt drummer and composer Klemens Marktl plays alongside Feinig and Jukič on the recording released in 2016.

Tonč Feinig has already been a guest at the Carinthian Summer several times. His joint project with Thomas Fheodoroff's Ensemble Prisma and percussionist and arranger Reinhold Schmölzer at the 2017 Picnic Concert in Damtschach is still fondly remembered by many. In 2020 Feinig gave a celebrated concert together with the Big Band of RTV Slovenija (Ossiacher See Halle, Carinthian Summer).

And now also again in the EBOARDMUSEUM!

AUNT ELEONOR'S NEPHEWS

Thursday 10 Nov 2022 20:00

Aunt Eleonor's nephews

Now it's getting thick

The alumni association of BG LERCHENFELD invites you to a special event.

The Nephews (TOMMY SCHMID, MARKO ZEILER, ANDI HOBEL and CHRISTOPH MURKE) consider themselves a vocal band. A band that sings, grooves, beat-boxes its way through the vegetable patch of life with its current program "Jetzt kommt's dick" ("Now it's getting thick") and with an inimitable consistency doesn't miss a beat. Fittingly, however, a way out or a plan B is always provided. Humor is writ large on stage, vocally processed situations of everyday life - situations that we have all perhaps already experienced. "Highly gifted children" are in the current program of the "nephews" among other things just as topic as the problem of an unrequited love.

But Aunt Eleonor's nephews can also be serious. With sensitive original compositions, Carinthian songs and rousing cover versions, the listeners can expect a colorful mix of varietal a cappella music.

Among other things, they were participants in the ORF show "Die große Chance der Chöre" (2015 - quarter finals, 2016 - semi-finals) and in 2016 emerged as the overall winner in the prestigious competition "Carinthian Choir of the Year". Other TV appearances included "Guten Morgen Österreich", "Daheim in Österreich", "Licht ins Dunkel" as well as "Wenn die Musi spielt - Sommer Open Air". Numerous appearances at the most different occasions in Germany, Hungary and Austria round the total package of the "nephews" soundful off because - "You wish - we frame!"

Whew! Luck had! Gert Prix and his dubious accomplices can continue to live out their outrages unhindered!

Because the well-known Major Carl Ribarski from the ORF/ZDF TV cult crime series SOKO Donau is this time not as a police officer in the EBOARDMUSEUM, but as a singer!

And he is also highly impressive as a singer, as we have known at the latest since his appearance here at the EBOARDMUSEUM on March 22, 2019.

Number One Hits of the Sixties & Seventies

The Roaring Sixties Company may have seen the light of day in Austria, but as a band Liverpool opened its eyes. The company gave highly acclaimed concerts at the legendary Cavernclub and also at Hamburg's Kaiserkeller, where the Beatles' unprecedented career began.

UDO Tribute Band

Hits, rarities and classics of the great Udo Jürgens - Part I and Part II

UDO JÜRGENS was an Austrian composer and singer of popular music whose career spanned over fifty years. He won the Eurovision Song Contest 1966 for Austria, composed close to 1,000 songs, and sold over 100 million records.

One night is by far not long enough to present all of his greatest hits. The fact that it takes two nights to present shows how amazing the great singers' repertoire was. The eightheaded UDO TRIBUTE BAND and their special guests present UDO-Hits from the very beginning to his most recent masterpieces.

03 - IAN PAICE

Friday 16 Sept 2022 20:00

15 YEARS OF EBOARDMUSEUM

...and 50 years of DEEP PURPLE, "Made in Japan"

Was the success story of the EBOARDMUSEUM foreseeable in 2007? To this extent, honestly - no!

And were DEEP PURPLE aware in 1972 of having released an album with Made in Japan that would rank among the 10 most important longplayers in the entire history of pop?

We can find out firsthand on September 16!

Here's the scoop:

IAN PAICE,

original member of probably the most famous rock band of all time, interrupts his Deep Purple tour to celebrate 15 years of EBOARDMUSEUM and 50 years of Made in Japan with a brilliant concert here in Klagenfurt!

Smoke On The Water may be the most popular song of this album, which starts with the absolute smash hit Highway Star, leads over the vocal challenge Child In Time, and ends with Lazy absolutely not lazy, but eventually represents just one, albeit the mind-blowing hit of a total work of art!

Limited seats - we recommend advanced reservations!

With VOODOO STRAT IAN PAICE brings an Italian super band with him. VOODOO STRAT inspires with two different live programs: Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix. With their fantastic Jimi Hendrix program we could already see them in the EBOARDMUSEUM.

As a Deep Purple cover band, they perform again and again with IAN PAICE or DON AIREY, the drummer and the keyboarder of the original DEEP PURPLE. Which should be more than enough to describe the extraordinary quality of the band.

PERRY LUCAS | vocals
PAOLO MORETTO | guitar
STEFANO ZANELLI | bass
RUDY FANTIN | hammond organ

OSSI HUBER&BAND

Friday 09 Sept 2022 20:00

NEW ALBUM: "Jedn Tag in Spiagl schaun"

("Look in the mirror every day"...)

... and never lose the joy of life and the elixir of music...

For the first time, Dragan, who played with Daliah Lavi in his early years, and Amadeus Award winner Didi (with Alkbottle) present themselves as singers and songwriters. In the song "Irgendwann" all three have their say and sing about the courage to look ahead and never give up. The song "100,000 hours" encourages you to look in the mirror every day and trust yourself.

"Sei still - Lied an die Erde" is in the style of the successful title "nur 5 Minuten" and gets under your skin.

For Ossi, this album is an anniversary - it's the 30th he's been involved in! With bands like Bluesbreakers, The Gang, Sterz, Huaba, Humus and since 2016 ossi huber&band has created a bandwidth that ranges from blues to Sixties sound and dialect songs to classical songwriting. About 180 original songs have been created so far and more than 40 of them have made it into radio charts.

Ossi never calls himself a composer or lyricist. Melodies and lyrics are rather received. For this he is infinitely grateful...

School's out Party

The great era of dance clubs

What started in 2010 as a one-time reminiscence of fantastic summer hits has meanwhile established itself as the most successful end-of-school party for adults and is one big pain in the ass for Gert Prix year after year:

Which of the infinite number of fantastic summer hits may be part of the obligatory and by now legendary School's Out Party this year? The choice is huuuuge!!!

No matter - in any case, also this year the School's Out Band once again bathed together with their audience in a sea of great songs that brought back to life all kinds of wonderful memories!

And of course, also in 2022 this end-of-school party for adults was a very special charity.

As every year, all proceeds were donated to people in need.

LISTEN TO THE MUSIC (Photo by Mälzer)

Friday 24 June 2022 20:00

LTM - Listen To The Music

The Feldkirchen-based band LTM has been around since April 2016, and the musicians have roots in Berlin, Bad Goisern and Feldkirchen. Originally, mainly specially arranged cover songs were played. Gradually, more and more original compositions were included in the concert program.

They share a common passion and impress with authenticity and sympathy. Live, besides a well-rehearsed band, especially the polyphonic singing is convincing. The diverse program ranges from pop, rock, alternative and country rock to jazzy songs.

Music is for the band lust for life, vocation, relaxation, a "can let go", "forget the time" and happiness hormone producer!

In the original compositions they surprise with special contents, which take up topics from the life of everyone, but also profoundness.

LTM's concerts are a musical journey through time from the 60's to the present day, reflecting the mood of the songs in a "many-stringed" way and delighting the audience at their numerous performances.

THE LANNOYS

Friday 17 June 2022 20:00

Lannoys

10 Years Of Lannoys

The LANNOYS are two brothers, HANS and WERNER.

Hans played with Okemah, Al and John, Desmond Doyle and Friends and DiDA, while Werner made music with United States of Love, The Greyhounds, Wikuda and Bad Boy Dupree. A few years ago, when Hans celebrated a special birthday, they had a great singalong experience together, after which they formed The Lannoys.

The band name is a reminiscence of how the family name was spelled when their ancestors moved to Austria. As The Lannoys they write and perform their own songs, and in their music they combine various styles and influences from rock n roll, folk, blues, prog rock and pop. As a live band they offer a varied program with their own songs and some great covers. This time they were accompanied by ALFRED WEGHOFER on the cajon.

After This is the Life and Telegraph Dada, the Lannoys recently released a new album titled 8770. 8770 is the postal code of their hometown in Styria, Austria.

WALL

Friday 10 June 2022 20:00

Wall

A Tribute to CCR

The band WALL existed for very many years under different names, among others "Big Belly".

KARL MUSER, the singer with the distinctive voice of John Fogerty and passionate guitarist, RICHARD HUSS, lead guitarist, played in different genres and also already with "Big Belly". ANDREAS RAPOLDI, drums and vocals, has also been a member of the band "Big Belly" for a long time and has also gained experience in various formations. JOHANNES GASSER, bass, had already made music with Karl Muser thirty years ago under "CCR Tribute".

And so, after a long abstinence, the top hits of Creedence Clearwater Revival return to the EBOARDMUSEUM - from Proud Mary to Lookin' Out My Back Door, from Bad Moon Rising and Hey Tonight to Sweet Hitch-Hiker.

SCHULLER & SONS FEAT. PETER TAUCHER & EVA MORENO

Friday 03 June 2022 20:00

featuring Peter Taucher & Eva Moreno

"When the father with the sons...", all of whom followed in their father's footsteps and became professional musicians.

All three musicians play in a wide variety of formations and have now decided to perform together.

GERALD on drums, GUNTHER on organ and GERD on keyboards present a mixed instrumental program across the stylistic musical vegetable garden, from blues and rock hits to funk and jazz standards to their own compositions.

However, the most important credo of this band is groove!!!

According to the Duden dictionary, groove means "a constantly recurring, rousing rhythmic-melodic element and the way of presenting music with correct rhythm and tempo, whereby inner enthusiasm and sympathy become audible".

This intention is also shared by the various well-known vocal and instrumental soloists invited by the trio to the concerts as soloists.

This time with PETER TAUCHER (guit, vocals) and EVA MORENO (vocals).

PETER RATZENBECK

Friday 27 May 2022 20:00

With Special Guest Christoph Schellhorn

"Mr. Fingerpicking" - the guitarist Peter Ratzenbeck

He can effortlessly replace an orchestra with his acoustic guitar...

His concerts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and England offer listening pleasure at the highest level. 19 of his own albums and about 25 studio productions with renowned musicians prove him to be one of the best guitarists in Austria.

Peter Ratzenbeck, the self-taught guitarist who to this day can't read music, dropped out of school at the age of 17 and traveled through Scotland and Germany as a street musician. Today his concerts are sold out, the musician is celebrated by critics as a "master of fine motor skills", as a "lover of quiet resonances", as a "gentle giant among guitarists". Around 15 times a year - including this summer - Peter Ratzenbeck passes on his musical knowledge in guitar workshops lasting several days. "I'm actually always on the lookout for the perfect melody," says Peter Ratzenbeck, who - like no other - has mastered the difficult technique of "fingerpicking" ... For many years, the native Styrian has lived with his family in the Waldviertel. His collection of special guitars is legendary..."

From the ORF program "Menschenbilder" on August 7, 2016.

"Schellhorn offers string acrobatics and artistic consistency in the guise of an Austrian guitarist who has remained modest and has long had the stature of an international star."

Gerhard Strejcek, "Concerto"

MOKESCH & BADER

Friday 06 May 2022 20:00

MOKESCH & BADER

aber so was von unplugged

The singer, composer and author GÜNTER MO MOKESCH and his longtime musical partner the keyboard player and music producer ERWIN BADER (Pizzera & Jaus) play for almost one hundred and twenty minutes almost everything they can play together more or less by heart.

In doing so, they completely dispense with the use of electrically operated guitars as well as bulky amplifiers. The two exceptional musicians also allow their two colleagues, who usually accompany them on drums and bass, generously - as they are - a free evening.

Song samples: Send Me Roses, Face Of Love, Smile (MO), Absolute Beginners (DAVID BOWIE), Da Neiche Summa (VAN MORRISON/MO), Stand By Me / Bleib Bei Mir (BEN E KING/MO), You Can´t Always Get What You Want (THE ROLLING STONES), Ruaf Mi Ned An (GEORG DANZER) and many more.

Pop History: A Tribute To Neil Diamond

Neil Diamond not only wrote world hits for world stars from Barbra Streisand to the Monkees. He also occupies international top positions in the charts himself again and again. And that for decades!

Reason enough for the team of the EBOARDMUSEUM to put together a band in his honor, which compresses this gigantic life's work into a fantastic two hours.

None of his world hits may be missing - I'm a Believer - Song Sung Blue - I Am I Said - Beautiful Noise - Love on the Rocks and of course not the party classic Sweet Caroline.

Boris Bukowski privately - a firework of the funniest anecdotes from a bulging musician's life with colleagues such as Konstantin Wecker, EAV, Wilfried, Falco and many others, as well as private soap and horse operas makes many a cabaret program look pale.

And in between, for the relief of the abdominal muscles, a "Best Of" of the evergreen milestones such as Fritze mit der Spritze, Cokain and many more.

Boris and his guitarist JAXX are now at their best, in terms of the fun of the evening and the funniest jokes, and the audience has rewarded it in the best way: with full houses and standing ovations.

TOBACCO ROAD BLUES BAND

Don't Tread On Me, Baby!

The Tobacco Road Blues Band presents its second CD at the EBOARDMUSEUM.

It's called Don't Tread On Me, Baby! It contains a total of 14 tracks, all penned by the two TRBB masterminds PETER PRAMMERDORFER and MIKE DIWALD.

"Actually, we hadn't planned to produce another CD so quickly," Peter Prammerdorfer tells us, "but suddenly there were so many song ideas that we couldn't help ourselves." In addition, the Tobaccos really wanted to play the 2018 concert season with new song material, so a considerable track list quickly emerged from fleeting ideas. Of course, the audience was looking for the new songs on the "old" album in vain. So a successor was needed and TRBB buried themselves in the band's own Southend Studio in St. Veit. "The result is a completely different album than number 1," describes Mike Diwald. "But both CDs have one thing in common: we did what we felt like doing, without looking at trends, radio suitability or even charts." "And there's something else that's very important to us," adds Peter Prammerdorfer: "As with the first CD, there's no programming and no synthesizers. Every instrument was played by real musicians." Strings and winds. In this regard, Prammerdorfer/Diwald have spun out again on "Don't Tread On Me, Baby!". "For some tracks, I literally heard a fat orchestral tapestry in my mind's ear," Mike Diwald smiles, "so Peter and I started arranging violins and horns, which neither of us had done before."

The musicians who supported the TRBB regulars on the recordings were quickly found: ANJA WOBAK-EDER played the violin parts and CHIARA STELLA WEGSCHEIDER the cello parts, HUBERT WEGSCHEIDER blew the horn and WOLFRAM DULLNIG various saxophones. For the keyboard parts CLEMENS HERZOG from Lienz and none less than "Komissar Rex" composer GERD SCHULLER could be won. The background choirs were sung by the only 17-year-old BAMLAK WERNER, DIANA and ANNA WALLNER, CHIARA STELLA WEGSCHEIDER and JUDITH GORITSCHNIG.

Save the Date: "At the presentation of the first CD we had to send quite a few people home, because the EBOARDMUSEUM was bursting at the seams. If you want to be at the gig, you should reserve tickets quickly!

In his eventful and varied career, Marc Janicello has already thrilled audiences in the New York Subways as a street singer ("America's Best Street Performer 1992"), with sensational performances such as his Elvis performance in Grand Central Station ("What if Elvis never died but just turned into Pavarotti?") and established houses such as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and the Zurich Opera House.

Since 1984, he has performed 23 leading roles in musicals, 34 leading roles in opera productions, appeared in twelve plays and numerous television productions, and recorded more than 30 CDs. With "Elvis: A Musical Biography" he achieved his European breakthrough.

In January 2016, Janicello began work as the author, executive producer, lyricist and leading actor for the New SitCom, “The Finellis.” In November 2018, a Berlin-based production company Marjan Content Productions UG was founded in Berlin, Germany to facilitate the production of “The Finellis.” By the fall of 2021, “The Finellis” has won over 20 international television awards in 12 different countries and has accumulated over 60 award nominations.

The Sound of Carlos S

Pop History - A Tribute To Carlos Santana

The music of "The Sound of Carlos S." combines elements of popular music and jazz with Afro-Cuban rhythms.

Guitarist HANNES SEIDL, drummer TOMMY BÖRÖCZ and percussionist ANDI STEIRER have spent long periods of time in South America, where they were able to sammenarbeiten in various projects with native musicians. The fascination of Afro-Cuban rhythms and the "alegría" inherent in lateinamerikanisch music eventually led to the formation of the band "The Sound of Carlos S.".

"The Sound of Carlos S." sounds like the Latin rock band Santana and, in addition to the evergreens, also performs lesser-known works that exude all the more Latin flair.

BLUES BAND SUPERCHARGED

Saturday 12 February 2022 20:00

Since 2012 the musical direction of the „BBSC“ has been based on the well known American band „The Blues Brothers ®“. Not only did „The Blues Brothers ®“ produce two major cult movies, they have also given us songs like „Gimmie some lovin“ and „Everybody needs somebody to love“ which have become, in their own right, Anthems within the Music Industry.

The BBSC Blues Band Supercharged comprise of:

BARNEY PATTERSON | leading vocals
STEFAN ELLERSDORFER | leading vocals
DANIEL AMANN | trumpet
VALDEMAR KUSAN | trumpet
ALEX MATAUSCHEK | sax
STEPHAN LERCHBAUMER
| bariton sax
PETER POLZER | keys
PATRICK WURZER | bass
ZIGA SMRDEL | drums
MICHAEL STERNAD | guitar
ARMIN POLSINGER | guitar

Many „Blues Brothers“ enthusiasts claim that the musical similarity to the original „Blues Brothers ®“ is most impressive and brought to life by the „BBSC“. The goal of the „BBSC“ is to create an optimal and authentic blend of perfectionism and improvisation to seduce the audiencee into the world of Blues Rock.

The groovy sound, authenticity, rehearsed dance routines and a powerful brass section, have been our recipe for success, so that we can offer all listeners an impressive show.

We welcome people to visit our fanpage at Facebook and we hope you enjoy your first impressions.
